ZONE 5 MATCH COMMITEE MINUTES 6/3/2023
MATCH COMMITTEE MINUTE
SUMMARY
Gary Trevethan, the Zone Secretary, conducted a survey regarding the Divisional Pennant Competition for the upcoming 2023-2024 season, which resulted in 9 Yes, 6 No, and 9 No Answer responses. After discussion, it was decided by a majority that Zone 5 would not conduct the competition. The decision will be reviewed by the Zone Match Committee for the following season. The Zone Calendar was sent to members, who voted for the Calendar without DP. The Zone Singles received 41 State, 51 Reserve, and 36 Senior entries, which required 12 greens. The Championship COM and G.T. obtained an additional 7 greens. The draws will be done by Gary Trevethan as soon as possible. The Championship Zone Triples, Zone Fours, Zone Singles, and Zone Pairs have closing dates, match meetings, and first-round dates. Washout dates are also specified. The clubs have successfully used Bowlslink for their teams and scores, and no phone calls have been received up to Round 2. The COM will email all clubs regarding forfeits, single losers marking PM games, and playing at the venue as drawn on Bowlslink. The COM will also forward all Zone Championship entries to the Treasurer to process the invoices to the clubs. Pennant Checking is going well, and clubs are requested to enter their teams into Bowlslink 24 hours before the round. An issue regarding the payment of green fees by the Austral Pennant Side at Camden was discussed, and Gary Trevethan secured their BSB and Account for future EFT Green Fee Payments.
